Man arrested for killing two in Polokwane CBD
Traffic was brought to a standstill in Limpopo’s capital city after a double shooting.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo has confirmed that a man has been apprehended for the murder of two people in the Polokwane CBD today (Thursday).
According to Mojapelo, preliminary reports indicate that the man shot two people who were together in a car, before reportedly threatening to jump off a building.
Mojapelo says it cannot be confirmed at this stage if the woman (one of the deceased) was the suspect’s wife.
Landdros Maré Street between Jorrisen and Grobler streets was temporarily closed while the investigation was carried out and the bodies removed.
The suspect will be charged with two counts of murder.
