A 37-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Mandeni in the iLembe District of KZN, yesterday morning.

The North Coast Courier reports IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a man found lying on the side of the road.

Upon arrival, paramedics found he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was stabilised at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital under the care of Advanced Life Support paramedics.

The police could not be reached for comment.
