Man drowns in river in Krugersdorp
Emergency services and several police units responded to reports of a man drowning in the early hours of Saturday.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, drowned in a river in the Silverfields area in Krugersdorp over the weekend.
Emergency services arrived at the scene of the drowning at about 04:00 on Saturday.
Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 multimedia journalist said, paramedics from ER24 were on the scene alongside the police’s K9 search and rescue as well as diving units.
“After a short walk, they found the man lying in the river. Unfortunately, he showed no signs of life and was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to emergency services.
