Man fined for steering Range Rover with feet in Gauteng

Heading into South Africa’s festive season, it is now more than ever that road courtesy and responsible driving are needed in abundance considering negligence and reckless driving contribute greatly to fatal crashes during this time.
In the scenario of a 39-year-old Pakistani national who was embroiled in reckless driving in December of last year, the wheels of justice have finally prevailed. A video surfaced showing the Range Rover driver hanging out of the window while steering the car with his feet.

The man has since been sentenced to a fine of R8 000 or eight months imprisonment with his driving license being suspended for six months. According to the RTMC, the defendant pleaded guilty to the charges after a drawn-out and delayed trial.
