Man goes missing after purchasing motorbike in Middelburg

The missing man's wife is pleading with someone with a helicopter to help in the search for her husband who disappeared.

An urgent cry for help has been posted on social media after the disappearance of 41-year-old Antony Gregory Newton.

Newton’s wife, Derisha Newton, asked if anyone can assist her with an aerial search for the man who went missing on April 8.

Derisha believes her husband had a motorbike accident. He bought a new motorbike at Bike City in Middelburg and left his Toyota Yaris at the motorbike shop.

“The area of travel was from Middleburg to eMalahleni using the old Middleburg road.  It could also be the N4 Trac Middleburg to eMalahleni.  Please recommend a company that can come out immediately to assist my efforts.  This is urgent as time is running out,” she said.

Newton told his wife he would be back just after noon on Friday from CTC College in Klipfontein. He has not been seen or heard from since.

Newton has light brown hair and green eyes. He is approximately 1.98m tall and weighs approximately 104kg and is slender and fit built. He wore grey overalls at the time of his disappearance.

If anyone has any information on his whereabouts please contact 071 834 8509, 079 194 9327 or 082 565 6770.
