Man killed in Durban drive-by shooting

A man believed to be in his 40s was killed and the motive for the murder will be determined by ongoing police investigations.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of a shooting incident in Sherwood, Durban, just after 13:30 yesterday.

Emer-G-Med paramedics as well as ALS paramedics responded to the scene.

“On arrival on the scene, a Mercedes-Benz was found peppered with high calibre bullet holes. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a male believed to be approximately 40 years of age, was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” says Kyle Van Reenen, the spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Paramedics.

Van Reenen adds that the South African Police Services were on the scene to investigate the matter.
