A man was shot dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle on the pavement in front of his offices in Pringle Street, Secunda.

Ridge Times reports the drive-by shooting happened at about 10:45.

The area was cordoned off as an active crime scene, and police are investigating.

While details remain scarce, it is known that a message was posted on a neighbourhood group about a red or maroon vehicle with no number plates driving up and down Pringle Street at around 10:00.

Shortly after, neighbours were alarmed by several gunshots.

The man’s details are known, but his identity could not yet be confirmed by SAPS.
