Man murdered at Pretoria East club, two arrested

The man was stabbed in the leg and bled out where after his body was allegedly dragged out of the club and dumped in an alleyway.

A man in his early 30s was murdered, allegedly inside Latino’s Pub & Lounge on Lynnwood Road in the east of Pretoria, in the early hours of Sunday. The man’s body was and found in Ox Street behind the Lynnwood strip.

It is suspected that the body was dragged out of the club and dumped in an alleyway after the victim was stabbed in the leg and bled out. The man has not yet been identified.

Brooklyn CPF members received a request for medical assistance to the victim shortly after 01:00.

“They found the man lying in the street with a fatal stab wound to the leg,” says Jarad Frimmel, ward 45 councillor, in a statement.

Emer-G-Med paramedics arrived shortly after and declared the victim deceased.”

Brooklyn police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe confirmed that two suspects were arrested.

“A suspect, aged 34, has been arrested for the murder and defeating the ends of justice,” says Selepe.

A second suspect, aged 24, was arrested and charged with defeating the ends of justice.
