Man pleads guilty to Dundee workshop murders

Ali Majola has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder following a fatal shooting last year.

Ali Majola has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder when he appeared in the Dundee Regional Court yesterday.

According to the Dundee Courier, the charges relate to a shooting that took place in June last year at a workshop in Cornhill Street. During an altercation over an undelivered vehicle, Majola shot and killed Ntombifuthi Mabaso and her relative, Mncedisi Buthelezi. A third victim, Ntombifuthi’s daughter Slindile Mabaso, was wounded.

It is alleged that the dispute arose after Ntombifuthi Mabaso demanded the return of money she had given Majola to purchase a vehicle that was never delivered. The confrontation escalated, and Majola reportedly pulled out a .38 Special revolver and fired five shots.

It was also said that Majola then struck her in the face using an engine block. She died at the scene, as did Mncedisi. Slindile was hit in the shoulder and managed to run into an office to escape.
