Man shot dead in his home in Mondeor, Johannesburg
A Johannesburg man was shot six times shortly after arriving home on Friday night. He was declared dead on the scene.
Mondeor SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a man was shot dead in Bassonia on Friday evening.
According to Mike Fontes, chairman of Glenvista Community Policing Forum, the incident took place in the garage of his home in a complex on Soetdoring Street just before midnight.
“It is believed two or more suspects shot the resident six times as he was arriving at his home.”
Fontes said CPF members responded to the shooting with Fox Security and National.
“Upon arrival, the two suspects escaped the response teams, most likely into the veld behind the complex,” he said.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and declared the resident deceased.
It’s unclear what led to the shooting.
