A man has been left fighting for his life after he was stabbed multiple times in Hillbrow Road in Howick, KZN, today.

The Witness reports that according to Midlands EMS spokesperson Roland Robertson, they received multiple reports from the public about a person lying in the roadway.

On arrival, Midlands EMS crews found a male patient in a critical condition with multiple stab wounds.

“Due to the severity of his injuries, urgent advanced life support intervention was immediately initiated,” he says.

Robertson adds the Midlands EMS K9 Unit secured the surrounding area to ensure the safety of medics and bystanders.

Medics worked tirelessly to stabilise the patient on scene, administering advanced medical care while preparing him for rapid transport.

“Once stabilised, the victim was transported to a nearby specialist hospital for further emergency care.”

Robertson adds that authorities were alerted and attended the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
