MEC Dickson Masemola commends police for swift arrest in Precious Ramabulana’s case in Limpopo
The 28-year-old accused was arrested at his parental home in Botlokwa, Limpopo.
A 28-year-old man was arrested for the murder of Capricorn TVET college student, Precious Ramabulana.
The arrest was made in the early hours of Thursday morning, Polokwane Review reports.
The 21-year old college student was attacked by an unknown man and stabbed approximately 52 times in her room in an off-campus residence in Mokomene on Sunday, 24 November.
The accused was arrested during an operation which comprised members from the Crime Intelligence Unit, Forensic Services Unit, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations and Detective Services.
He was arrested at his parental home in Nyakelang Village, Botlokwa, said the MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Namane Dickson Masemola at a press briefing on Thursday.

He applauded the investigating team for the swift arrest and further thanked the community for remaining calm as well as for the role they played in this matter and other crime-fighting initiatives.
He also called on the courts to impose the harshest sentence possible on this man once he is found guilty.
