Missing Durban student Natasha Conabeer dies

Conabeer who went missing three weeks ago was dropped off at her home unconscious.

The University of KwaZulu-Natal student, Natasha Conabeer has died in hospital ICU, Berea Mail reports.

Natasha, who went missing three weeks ago, was dropped off at her home unconscious, on Sunday, 8 September 2019.

According to media reports, a family friend confirmed that she had died on Monday, 9 September.

At this stage the cause of death is unknown.

Natasha was last seen leaving her flat in Florida Road to go home to Inanda.

A missing person’s case was opened on 18 August after her friends last saw her leaving her flat.

According to posts by friends, the last form of communication with Natasha was on 22 August.

On Sunday, her mother posted on a social media page created during the search for Natasha. She announced: “Natasha has been found. She is alive but in a critical condition in ICU. We currently don’t know what exactly happened yet. Thanks for the support and prayers.”

Twitter has been flooded with messages of condolences and tributes for the young woman and her family, with the hashtag #RIPNatasha trending on the social media platform.
