Missing Midrand boy (10) found in Randburg

His family pleaded for his safe return, fearing that he might be cold in yesterday’s rain.

A 10-year-old Centurion learner has been found unharmed in Randburg on yesterday following his disappearance on Sunday in Midrand.

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane confirmed that the minor had been safely found and was receiving care from police.

He said police did not have much information regarding his safe return.

This follows the boy’s family desperately searching for him after he went missing on November 6.

His mother, Lesego Chauke, said Omphile went missing from outside his home in a Randjesfontein estate at around 16:30.

According to Chauke, Omphile was on his way to a nearby SPAR when he went missing.

Omphile’s school Trinityhouse Heritage Hill School in Centurion has since rejoiced over his safe return.
