‘Missing’ Rietvlei cheetah spotted in the nature reserve

The “missing” female cheetah, Njozi, was spotted in the Rietvlei nature reserve on Sunday morning.

“Njozi the female cheetah was photographed this morning, in the reserve, trying to catch blesbok,” the Tshwane metro’s environment and agriculture MMC Dana Wannenburg said.

“It seems she came back into the reserve.”

This after she reportedly escaped from the reserve earlier last week.

“We thank everyone who assisted and helped with the searching of the cheetah during the week,” Wannenburg said.

The reserve’s functional head Natalie Vos also confirmed the cheetah was spotted earlier in the day.
