N2 to Hartenbos closed for upgrading

The exit from the N2 to Hartenbos is closed for upgrading purposes.

The project involves the construction of a new traffic circle for the interchange’s western direction – to Cape Town – south of the N2, which will also provide access to the new filling station and, in the future, the new Hartland Estate.

The construction period will last until approximately December 3.

The interchange’s west direction leg (to Cape Town – south of N2) is closed for this period, but access for residents is on the DR6804, so the DR6804 is not closed.

The interchange’s east direction leg (to George – north of the N2) is not affected and, therefore, remains open.

Road signs inform motorists on the N2 (western direction – to Cape Town) of the road closure at the Klein Brak River exit.

The detour to Hartenbos and Oudtshoorn is via the R102 (MR344) through Riverside.
