National shutdown: Cosatu announces strike across 10 major cities and towns in SA
The Congress of South African Trade Unions says the nation-wide strike is aimed at addressing, among other things, the rise in cost of living, fuel and electricity.
Wednesday’s national shutdown, orchestrated by the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu), is planned for 10 locations across South Africa.
In Polokwane Cosatu will take hands with the South African Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu). They will be joined by several other groups and plan to march to the office of the Limpopo premier.
