Former Paralympic athlete and convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius now works at the NG Kerk Waterkloof voluntarily as a caretaker.

JuigNuus, a Christian online publication, said that during his eight years in prison, Pistorius held Bible studies and prayer meetings.

It is believed Pistorius also attends the services of this church.

“Thanks to his uncle, the former athlete has now been welcomed by the NG Kerk Waterkloof.

“It is a large family church in Pretoria. Pistorius works there voluntarily as a caretaker,” the report states.

Witnesses told the publication that Pistorius stays in the background as much as possible.

Rekord reached out to his uncle, Arnold for comment.

“Christian churches welcome all sinners who yearn for forgiveness through Jesus’ death on the cross,” Arnold responded.

Pistorius shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door at his Pretoria home on Valentine’s Day in 2013.

Since his release, the 37-year-old has struggled to secure employment while living at his uncle Waterkloof mansion.

He served nearly nine years of his 13-year sentence and five months before he was released into the care of his uncle under strict parole conditions.

Reportedly, Pistorius sought potential collaboration with at least two members of the International Paralympic Committee after his release, but his overtures were rejected.
