Parys municipal office closed after man throws human faeces

A man was arrested after human waste was thrown inside the Ngwathe Local Municipality offices, forcing a temporary closure for cleaning.

A young man from Tumahole was arrested yesterday afternoon after human faeces was thrown on the chairs and floor of the customer service area at the Ngwathe Local Municipality offices in Parys.

Parys Gazette reports that the man was arrested shortly after the incident on a charge of damaging property.

The customer service area will be closed today for cleaning and disinfection.

At the time of publishing, the municipality had not yet issued a statement on the incident.
