Pietermaritzburg High Court convicts man of murder

Tsepo Msomi claimed he was forced to make a confession, however, the judge convicted him on two counts of murder.

A man who murdered two people in Imbali last year was convicted by the Pietermaritzburg High Court yesterday having rejected his claims that he was forced to make a confession.

Tsepo Msomi was found guilty of two counts of murder committed during robberies last year.

He was arrested in September 2023 for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, which linked him to the murders of Babalwa Vuzane and Sifiso Zuma in April and August of that year, respectively.
