Pilot dies in Pretoria East light aircraft crash

The light aircraft crashed into a field near Boschkop Road.

A person was killed when a light aircraft crashed in a field near Boschkop Road, east of Pretoria. The incident took place on Thursday after 14:00. Emer-G-Med paramedics said in a statement that the pilot, who was the sole occupant, suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. “The scene was secured by the South African Police Services and will be investigated accordingly,” the statement read.
