Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a woman (38) who was shot dead at a holiday rental unit in Margate yesterday.

South Coast Herald reports that a police spokesperson says it is believed that during an argument, the woman’s partner shot her in the head and then turned the gun on himself.

A 9mm Beretta pistol was found on the scene by police.

It is further believed that the couple are from eMalahleni in Mpumalanga and were on holiday.

“A case of murder is being investigated and a second count of inquest as well,” says SAPS.
