Police sergeant in court for murder of girlfriend pregnant with triplets
A woman, pregnant with triplets, was recently brutally murdered by her boyfriend.
Police sergeant, Mbuyiseni Gema (48), appeared in the Ixopo Magistrates Court, on Monday, on a charge of murder.
Gema is alleged to have killed his girlfriend, Busisiwe Mathembi Ngcobo earlier this month in the eHlanzeni area.
Ngcobo was heavily pregnant with triplets at the time.
NPA regional spokesperson, Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, said, the case was remanded to August 25 for a formal bail application. The state will oppose the application.
