Polokwane shooting victim found dead in gym parking
Police are investigating a shooting that claimed a man’s life earlier this week.
A 41-year-old man was declared dead in the parking area of a gymnasium in Thornhill in Polokwane at around 21:30 on Tuesday.
Polokwane police confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Sakie Ramogale.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says when police arrived at the scene, the victim was found in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to the neck.
The motive for the shooting is not yet known.
Acting provincial police commissioner Major General Jan Scheepers condemned the incident, calling it brutal, and immediately ordered the police to hunt down the perpetrators.
