#ShareASmile this Casual Day
Proudly wear your Casual Day sticker this Friday in support of people with disabilities.
Casual Day – celebrated annually on the first Friday of September, this year on the 1st – is around the corner.
The National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities’ (NCPD) annual fundraising campaign concludes on Casual Day, and this year’s theme, #ShareASmile, aims to promote kindness, goodwill, and positivity in support of persons with disabilities in South Africa.
Casual Day helps hundreds of schools and organisations in the disability sector by providing them with much-needed funds.
By participating, you are helping change the lives of people with disabilities, such as Johnny Makgalemele from Sharpeville in Gauteng, who plays an important role in his community and is an active tennis player, despite his left arm being paralysed; and Kubashnee Perumal from Port Shepstone in KZN who is deaf but continues to inspire her learners as a teacher at St Martin de Porres School.
