Shock after Sowetan doctor murdered at practise
The community is in shock after the murder of a well-known and beloved Diepkloof doctor on Friday.

Dr George Koboka was killed at his practice in Diepkloof Zone 5 on Friday. It is alleged that unknown suspects entered his business and shot him.
The motive behind the murder is not known. According to a reliable source, his murder follows a robbery at his practice a week before and it is suspected that the same people returned.
The community of Diepkloof is saddened by Koboka’s death.
It was common knowledge that Koboka’s practise was as popular as a public health care centre. You had to be there early to beat the long queue of people waiting to see him. His clients recalled his affordable prices, passion for healing and compassion with his fellowmen.
One of his regular clients says that Koboka would often call to follow-up after seeing a patient and to find out if the medication is working.
Another woman recalls how she once visited his practise with her sick son. She did not have any money to pay for the visitation. Koboka treated her son anyway and arranged for her to pay when she had the money.
Koboka will also be remembered for the fresh fruit that he handed out to patients daily.
The community has organised a candle lighting ceremony in his honour which is set to take place on Wednesday, March 30, at the Diepkloof Extreme Park, not far from his practise.
