Police in Pretoria are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a fatal shooting at a filling station in Rosslyn yesterday morning.

According to the police in Akasia, multiple shots were fired which killed a man and left a petrol attendant injured.

Police spokesperson Constable Lindiwe Mabasa says the deceased drove into the filling station in a silver car just after 11:00, after which a white Etois soon followed and parked next to him.

“Witnesses reported that the shooters in the white vehicle lowered their window and started shooting at the silver car. The petrol attendant was caught in the cross fire and was shot in the chest, he was transported to the nearest hospital.”

Police say an active investigation is ongoing and are pleading with residents in the area to help them apprehend the suspects.

The station is also appealing for anyone to come forward with more information on the shooting.
