Stage 4 load-shedding to resume at 17:00

Varied stages of power cuts will be implemented throughout the week.

Eskom has announced that stage 4 load-shedding will again be implemented at 17:00.

Stage 4 power cuts will continue until 16:00 on Monday, whereafter stage 5 load-shedding will be implemented until midnight.

The power utility says the higher stages of load-shedding is ‘mainly due to high levels of breakdowns’ and ‘depleted emergency generation reserves’.

The planned outlook for Tuesday indicates that stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented from 00:00 until 05:00, stage 3 between 05:00-16:00 and then stage 5 again between 16:00 and 00:00.

Wednesday will have stage 4 (00:00-05:00), stage 2 (05:00-16:00) and stage 5 (16:00-00:00) power cuts, according to the power utility.
