Parliament cancels e-tolls debate as Mbalula sets a new date for final decision

With Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula promising to deliver a much-awaited decision on the future of the Gauteng freeway improvement project (e-tolls) this month, parliament has postponed a debate on the matter. The debate was set to take place on Thursday.

Environment minister addresses plastic pollution in budget speech

According to Minister Barbara Creecy, all plastic carrier bags are required to be made from 50% recycled content by 2023.

155kg of drugs seized at border

A Mozambican national appeared in the Komatipoort Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after he was arrested at the Lebombo Border Post. It is reported that a routine inspection uncovered over 155 kilograms of drugs in his bakkie.
