Three bodies found at dumping site in Randfontein

Three bodies, with their hands bound behind their backs, were found at the Randfontein dumping site earlier this week.

Three bodies were discovered at the Randfontein dumping site in Westergloor on Monday afternoon.

According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, police were called to the scene where they enlisted the K9 Search and Rescue Unit whose members discovered one body. Upon further investigation two more bodies were found in a nearby dam.

“All three victims’ hands were bound behind their backs and the bodies were already in an advanced stage of decomposition,” she said.

Hendricks added that Randfontein Police detectives are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist the police in tracing the families of the deceased.

“We also appeal to the public to help with information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible and to contact Randfontein Police on 011 414 4992, alternatively 071 675 7094, or make use of the My SAPS app or the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 to report crime anonymously,” Sergeant Hendricks said.
