A woman and two other people sustained burn wounds when a tub of chafing fuel, used to keep food warm, set one person’s clothes alight, causing the two others to also sustain burn injuries.
The incident happened on Saturday at a small restaurant in Raslouw, Centurion.

Emergency responders Cert-SA said in a statement that the woman “sustained severe burns to her face, neck, chest, and arms”.

The two males sustained moderate burns to their arms and face.

“The exact circumstances leading up to the incident are unclear.”
