Twenty-seven-year-old woman found murdered at her home in Trichardt

The police found Ms Angelique Fourie with an open wound to her neck.

A case of murder has been opened after police were called out to a scene and found the body of Ms Angelique Fourie (27).

According to a media statement released by Trichardt Police’s spokesperson, Sgt Valencia Koma, at around 3:50am this morning, November 8, a woman reported that she had found her neighbour, Ms Fourie, lying in a pool of blood at her home in Trichardt.

The police found Ms Fourie with an open wound to her neck. Paramedics were summoned to the scene where they certified Ms Fourie deceased.

According to a witness, Ms Fourie was drinking with her boyfriend throughout the night.

The couple were with their 3-year-old daughter.

Sgt Koma said Ms Fourie’s boyfriend left her home with their daughter and drop their daughter off at his sister’s house in Secunda before he left without a trace.

A case of murder has been opened and police are still investigating.
