Two Fidelity employees suspected of robbery in Bethal

It is alleged that they committed the robbery with their official firearms.

Two Fidelity employees aged 30 and 40 will appear before the Bethal Magistrate’ s Court tomorrow to face a charge of business robbery.

The police in Mpumalanga says that an employee was on duty at Majuba King Petroleum yesterday. At around 18:58 two males entered his office.

He was threatened with a pistol and forced to open the safe. The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

SAPS members from Bethal managed to identify two suspects who are both employees of Fidelity Security. It is alleged that the men committed the offence using their official firearms.

The Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Mpumalanga Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela, has vowed that no one will be given a special treatment when it comes to the commission of crime.
