Two more suspects arrested in connection with Hillary Gardee’s murder

So far three suspects have been apprehended.

Two more suspects have been taken into custody for the murder of Hillary Gardee. They were arrested in Mbombela sometime between late last night and the early hours of this morning.

The provincial commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Daphney Manamela, said the two are to join the 39-year-old suspect who was arrested in Schoemansdal on Friday.

“This is encouraging. We had indicated that we were following and interviewing other people of interest. Due to our investigation, which is still proceeding, we fully believe these two are the right suspects,” said Manamela.

She added that more suspects may be arrested as the intensive investigation proceeds.

“For the sake of succeeding in this case the public, including media, is urged to support the team of investigators as they follow leads so that everyone who has a hand in the murder of Hillary Gardee is brought to book.”

Gardee was laid to rest in Rocky Drift outside Mbombela yesterday.
