Two trainee pilots from Egypt disappear in Vereeniging, feared kidnapped

The pair’s rented car was found deserted next to the R59 highway.

A large-scale search has been launched for two Egyptian nationals who were in South Africa to train as pilots, after they disappeared on Saturday.

It is feared that Muwmin Hitham Kamel Gaber (19) and Fadi Said Elhadi Mohamed Hamoud (31) might have been kidnapped.

According to information from Make SA Safe on Facebook, the two left Vereeniging on Saturday. Their car was found abandoned next to the R59 highway but there has been no sign of the two men since then.
