Video: Alexandra shooting leaves 1 dead, another seriously injured

A man was fatally shot in Alexandra early this morning while a passenger was seriously injured in an attack.

A man was fatally shot in Alexandra in the early hours of this morning. Alex News reports that the deceased and his friend were attacked by gunmen while driving along Joe Nhlanhla Street.

Although police did not release the victim’s name, multiple community sources have identified him as activist and businessman Vincent Ndima.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed that two victims were involved. “A 49-year-old man was found deceased in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, and a passenger sustained serious injuries, currently receiving medical treatment.”

Police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder. The motive remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.

The deceased was widely regarded as a vocal community leader, known for his efforts to support residents and combat crime.
