Video: Multiple injuries reported in crash and chemical spill on Kranspoort Pass in Mpumalanga
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes as the Kranspoort Pass (N11 Middelburg/Groblersdal) has been closed in both directions.
An accident involving a truck and multiple vehicles has been reported on the Kranspoort Pass (N11 Middelburg/Groblersdal), in the direction of Groblersdal, Mpumalanga.
Middelburg Observer reports that, according to first responders on the Traffic Alert WhatsApp group, between six and eight people have been injured and hazmat has been dispatched to attend to a chemical spill.
It is reported that the truck lost its load, resulting in the other vehicles crashing into it.
The road has been closed in both directions, and motorists have been advised to make use of alternative routes.
