Police in KZN are searching for 10 suspects following a brazen CIT robbery in Pietermaritzburg yesterday evening.
KZN police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo said the suspects ambushed a CIT vehicle, shot one security guard, and stole an undisclosed amount of money after disarming the guards.

The incident occurred near the BP garage near Caluza around 6pm.

The attack occurred near the BP garage in Caluza around 18:00.
According to KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service, the assailants forcibly stopped the vehicle before bombing it.
“Paramedics responded to the scene and provided immediate medical care to stabilise a patient who had sustained a gunshot wound,” the service said in a statement.
The injured guard was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
