VIDEO: Suspected robber beaten up on the street
Cellphone footage has emerged showing a group of angry men beating up a suspected robber in Standerton, Mpumalanga.
It is alleged the suspect stole something when the men caught him and beat him up on the street. After he was beaten, the suspect was put in the back of a bakkie, Standerton Advertiser reported.
It remains unclear when the incident took place.
Sakhile police communication officer Sergeant George Dhlamini said the incident was not reported and no case was opened regarding the incident.

In a separate incident, video footage emerged showing a 22-year-old man being carried by a group of men after he allegedly snatched a bag from a woman on the corner of Amsterdam and OR Tambo streets in Witbank, Mpumalanga, in May.
The victim, Busi Nxumalo, was on her way to work when her handbag was snatched from her. The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards by a businessman from Magic Plumbing and his team.
In the video, the suspect is seen being carried by four men. He was put at the back of a bakkie as three women beat him, one using a broomstick.
