Police and tactical security have secured the scene of a shooting on Bath Avenue in Rosebank, where one person has been killed.

A journalist from Rosebank Killarney Gazette is on the scene, after receiving reports of a shooting outside a nail salon, and confirmed that one body is visible, while private security tactical units and Rosebank police have secured the area.

According to police, a case of murder is under investigation after a woman was shot twice as she entered the salon this morning. It is believed that an unknown number of gunmen followed her inside before fleeing in various directions.

Police said the family of the deceased has not yet been notified, and officers remain at the scene.
