Video: Young man stabbed to death in Pietermaritzburg house robbery
Police are at the scene of a house break-in where a man, who was reportedly stabbed in the chest, passed away.
A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death during a house robbery in Scottsville, Pietermaritzburg, this morning.
By 10:00, police were at the scene where the young man was reportedly stabbed in the chest during the break-in.
Despite a rapid response from emergency services, he died due to his injuries.
According to neighbours at the scene, the body was found by the young man’s mother, who said that the robbers had taken her son’s cellphone and laptop.
Family members, friends, and neighbours of the man who was killed also gathered outside the home, shocked by the news.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.
No further information was available at the time of publishing.
