Viral video stunt: ‘Dancing’ driver faces the music in Pinetown
A motorist caught on camera dancing partially outside a moving vehicle, with one hand on the steering wheel in KZN, has reportedly said he intends to turn his life around.
A driver seen performing stunts in a viral video shared on the KZN Department of Transport (DOT) Facebook page has handed himself over to the Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) in Pinetown, reports The Witness.
The driver handed himself over after the KZN DOT posted the video of the man dancing half outside the vehicle from the driver’s side, with one hand on the steering wheel, calling on the public to help track him down.
“The no-nonsense RTI team is urgently looking for this driver, who has ruined their dinner and spoiled the celebratory mood after the successful #NenzaniLaEzweni RTI awards ceremony,” said the department.
In the video, the man is seen dancing outside the vehicle, while it is moving. He then gets back into the vehicle and continues driving.
According to the MEC for Transport and Human Settlements, Siboniso Duma, RTI officials questioned the driver and assessed the matter before determining what action would be taken.
