Warning issued after rise in Mbombela Covid-19 cases

Patients and employees might be required to wear mask all the time when in health facilities.

A circular from the Mpumalanga Department of Health cautions that Covid-19 cases in Mbombela may increase, and if not managed in time, might cause another outbreak during this festive season.

According to the circular, an influx of people to and from nearby countries and provinces to Mbombela, may increase the risk of Covid-19 cases.

The circular further states that all health facilities should exercise vigilance and caution by presenting Covid-19 health talks, screening of all patients in consultation rooms and testing suspected cases in order to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The department is yet to confirm other information. New information will be made public as soon as it becomes available.
