Watch: A Protea on fire in women’s The Hundred

Nadine de Klerk yesterday scored a half century to help the Oval Invincibles beat the Trent Rockets Women.

Proteas player Nadine de Klerk yesterday smashed the fastest 50 in this year’s edition of The Hundred Women and the second-fastest in the tournament’s history.

The 23-year-old South African hit 51* from 25 balls to help the Oval Invincibles post 155-6 against the Trent Rockets Women.

Former Proteas opener Lizelle Lee then smashed 61 from 33 balls, but it wasn’t enough for the Rockets, who finished three runs short on 152-8.
