A man’s body was discovered on the railway tracks near the Chota Motala off-ramp on the N3 in Pietermaritzburg this morning.

The Witness reports that, according to police at the scene, the man, believed to be in his mid-30s, may have been shot or stabbed due to multiple holes in his clothing.

“We received a call at 08:30 where a pedestrian passing by saw the body. We cannot disclose at this time what happened, as forensics still need to come,” said police.
