Watch: Rare sighting shows how python eats goose in KZN

It took more than five hours from when it was caught for the snake to fully consume the bird.

The Flanagan family witnessed how a massive python consumed a fully grown goose in the shallow water of a dam on their farm in Oribi Gorge on the KZN South Coast.

Leonie Flanagan said she estimated the South African python to be just under four metres long.

“It took three hours before the python started to ingest the goose and then another two hours to fully consume it,” she said.
