WATCH: Two injured as car plunges into South Coast river
Heavy rain has caused many rivers on the coast to swell.
Two people were taken to hospital after a two-car collision on a low-lying bridge on the P200 (Izotsha) near Shelley Beach on Sunday.
One of the cars, carrying two people, plunged into the river.
“Paramedics from Netcare 911 were already on the scene, and, together, we assisted those involved, with help from officers from Maser Security,” he said.
Members of the Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue Department were also on the scene.
