Western Cape rock-throwing incident ends in tragedy: 4 arrested

Four suspects arrested after a 29-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a scuffle outside his Herbertsdale home last night.

Four people were arrested following the murder of a 29-year-old man in Herbertsdale, a settlement in Garden Route in the Western Cape, last night.

According to Mossel Bay Advertiser, KwaNonqaba Police Station spokesperson Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp confirmed the arrests were made this morning.

The 29-year-old victim cannot be named until his next of kin have been informed.

According to reports, a group of people were throwing rocks at the victim’s house shortly before 22:00.

The man exited his house to confront the group, leading to a scuffle during which he was stabbed in the chest, allegedly by one of the group members. He was declared dead on the scene.

The four suspects are expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court soon.
