Woman killed in collision near N1 bypass in Polokwane
Emergency services declared the woman dead on the scene after a vehicle made an illegal u-turn on Friday night.
A woman was declared dead on the scene of a collision on the N1 bypass near Mall of the North on Friday night.
According to a source on the scene, a bakkie tried to make an illegal u-turn and collided with a light motor vehicle in the process.
The vehicle was said to have been en-route to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe after purchasing the car in Midrand, Gauteng.
The woman was trapped in the vehicle but had succumbed to numerous injuries.
Two men, the drivers of the vehicles were assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries.
“The men were treated and later transported by another service to a nearby hospital,” ER24’s statement read.
