Woman murdered and dumped: Polokwane traffic officer denied bail

The 26-year-old TUT student’s body was found dumped under a bridge in Lebowakgomo.

A 34-year-old Limpopo provincial traffic officer, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend and disposed of her body made two court appearances yesterday, in Lebowakgomo and Polokwane. He was denied bail and will have to stay behind bars until September 4.

Kabelo Peter Duba faces charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, theft of the deceased’s cellphone and defeating the ends of justice. His court case was postponed for further investigation.

His arrest follows the discovery of Kedidimetse Moche’s body under a bridge in Chuenespoort, Lebowakgomo on August 17.

Investigations managed to link Duba to the murder, resulting in his arrest at his home in Penina Park, Polokwane on August 24. It is alleged that an unlicenced firearm was recovered at Duba’s house during the arrest.

Moche (26) was a student at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) campus in Polokwane.
